The leaf layer, decoded.
Yog (योग) means 'union'. The leaf is where sunlight, atmospheric CO₂, water and chlorophyll converge — the canonical union of life. Inspired by C3/C4 photosynthesis research at IARI (1970s) and modern far-red light supplementation studies, Shri Yog quantifies the chloroplast's job in real time using leaf-level fluorometry (Fv/Fm) and canopy NDVI.
The Science
Photosynthesis follows the Farquhar–von Caemmerer–Berry (FvCB) model. Shri Yog fits the model parameters (Vcmax, Jmax) per cultivar and per microclimate, then prescribes nutrient + irrigation tuning to lift daily net assimilation by 15–25%.
