CIDSA Smart Tractor Path Optimization
The pass pattern, not the schedule.
Module Role
Field-geometry path planning for autosteer tractors
What it does
Smart Tractor Path Optimization is a pure-geometry engine: given any field polygon (with obstacles like trees, ponds, electric poles, irrigation valves), it solves for the optimal pass pattern — A-B lines, headland turns, lift-and-lower zones, and re-entry order. It targets in-field metrics like overlap percentage and missed strips, not season-level metrics like fleet sizing (that's the Smart Equipment Planning Suite's job). Output is an ISO 11783 task XML / GPX file that loads directly into John Deere Operations Center, Mahindra OJA, Trimble, and CNH AFS displays.
Key features
- Field-polygon → optimal A-B pass pattern
- Obstacle-aware turn arc planning
- Overlap & missed-strip optimisation (cm-level)
- Lift/lower events scripted for implements
- ISO 11783 XML / GPX export to OEM displays
