Origin & History
The precision layer, decoded.
Drishti (दृष्टि) means 'sight'. India's Cartosat-3 (2019) and ISRO's RISAT-1A constellation deliver 0.25 m / 5 m / 10 m resolution; coupled with the Government's SVAMITVA drone mapping mission, the country has full geospatial coverage. Shri Drishti synthesises Sentinel-2 NDVI + Cartosat optical + drone multispectral into a single field-scale crop-health index updated every 5 days.
The Science
Sentinel-2 bands 4, 8 (10 m) compute NDVI / NDRE / GNDVI. Cartosat-3 0.25 m used for plot boundary detection. Drone multispectral (RedEdge-MX) supplies sub-acre detail when alerts trigger. SAR (RISAT) detects waterlogging through cloud cover. Output: zonal recommendations + heat-map overlays in the farmer app.
